Yet Even Now Saith the Lord

For Lent.

D No: 112
Text - Author or Scripture: Joel 2:12; Psalm 145:8; Hosea 6:1–3
Performing Forces: SSAATTBB org
Date Published: FL 81
Date of Composition: 1957
Notes: Text selected by the Very Reverend John W. Suter, fourth dean of Washington Cathedral. This anthem and Welcome All Wonders in one Sight were composed for the fiftieth anniversary of the Laying of the Foundation Stone. Dean Sayre asked his predecessor to write the service for that occasion, and a most brilliant and effective liturgical effort was forthcoming, involving all the cathedral foundation worship and music forces. The service took place on Michaelmas, September 29, 1957.
Score:

112 Yet even now saith the Lord

Audio is from the 1984 WCC recording Great is the Lord
